5 out of 5 stars Euro Cuisine 2 Qt Yogurt Maker   December 6, 2009

This works beautifully! Thanks to the large 2-quart capacity, now I can make enough yogurt to last a week and avoid using all of those store-bought plastic yogurt containers. Note: The recipe provided by Euro-Cuisine is not as good as the one from Diet for a Small Planet, which--doubled for the 2qt capacity--makes a delicious yogurt with a much thicker consistency.

I am very satisfied with the product, especially the price. The only negative is that the yogurt container could have a grip to lift out of the maker when done. Other than that small issue, I would highly recommend this product.

This is a good device for making yogurt since it eliminates the need for all those little jars used by most other devices. Just heat a quart or two of milk, cool it down and then add powdered milk for thickness and some yogurt from the supermarket or from your previous batch. BTW, I don't heat the milk very high, about 110 degrees, because the milk has already been pasteurized (boiled)...why would you want to use high heat once again and destroy even more enzymes and nutrients? It's easy and delicious...cheap too!

4 out of 5 stars Easy to Use   December 6, 2009

The product description says, "Timer on the side of the unit marks time as to when yogurt will be finished cooking." That can be misleading; there is no automatic timer that makes a signal or shuts off when the desired cook time has been reached. Besides that, the machine is easy to use and makes really good yogurt.

4 out of 5 stars A Good Product   March 7, 2010

Yogurt is a healthy food to eat, so I wanted to buy my wife a yogurt maker. I knew she would enjoy having one so that she wouldn't have to buy yogurt when we buy groceries. I bought it for her for Valentine's Day, and she has been using it ever since then. She makes yogurt once a week and eats it every day. The only thing she would suggest is that it would be better if the inside cover would snap on so that it wouldn't come off as easily. It would also be good to include a small recipe book with it so that she would know how to add flavor to the yogurt. Another suggestion would be to have a timer on the yogurt maker that would turn it off when it is finished.
All in all, she is happy with the yogurt maker.
